JANESVILLE (WKOW) — The annual fair in Rock County went on in a new way during the pandemic this weekend.
The Rock County 4H Fair transformed its family event in Janesville into a food truck drive-in.
The fairgrounds hosted food trucks and a few games, with masks and distancing encouraged.
Organizers say they were happy to help a summer staple return.
“The community in general, the hardware stores, the gas stations, the hotels, it all feeds off of everything. It’s a trickle down effect,” said Cynthia King, with North American Midway Entertainment. “Everybody has been so thankful, so appreciative to come out and have a little bit of normalcy to their summer, and we’ve been so thankful to have them.”
The fair food drive in was free from Wednesday to Sunday.
